Cook your HPC skills at de-HPC, IIT Bombay !

Distributed & Embedded-High Performance Computing (de-HPC) pronounced as “The HPC” is a four day HPC symposium organized by Centre for Studies in Resources Engineering (CSRE), Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Syncthreads Computing & supported by HPC Advisory Council (HPCAC). The de-HPC symposium is a maiden attempt with the vision to bring the Indian HPC academic and industrial community under one roof, alongside international counterparts, and provides them a platform to collaborate and work towards solving bigger inter-disciplinary and practical challenges.

de-HPC works as our first step to evangelize the HPC movement in India ( The prospective agenda of de-HPC is very different from a standard symposium track. Along with keynotes by distinguished national and international speakers, programming workshops, tutorials, Birds of a Feather (BoFs) and poster sessions for researchers, there will be expert panel discussions, and thematic sessions on advances in HPC, both locally and internationally, and their usage in solving practical computation challenges.

What to Submit? download template here

You will need to submit a single zip file on easychair portal. The name of the zip file should be the title of your poster without spaces. For e.g. if your poster title is ‘Medical Imaging Using GPUs’, the zip file name should be ‘’
Write to for further information.

Poster Review Process

The submitted poster would be reviewed and rated by our experts primarily against the quality of results (if submitted under ‘research work with results’ category) or the quality of ideas (if submitted ‘emerging research idea’ category). Each poster would be rated on quality parameters & top few would be selected for presentation at de-HPC 2016.

Upon Acceptance

If your submission has been accepted, you will receive notification from our side on one of your submitted email ids. You will also receive new guidelines and timelines to submit your final poster. Sizing details of the poster would also be made available. You will ONLY be needed to email us the final poster pdf file. Our poster committee would take care of its printing and hosting it at your presentation area. Once you arrive at the event, there will be someone to guide you to your poster.

In addition, few top selected posters would get a chance to present on stage in our Fast Track Poster Presentation Session. Each poster team would get pre-allocated 3-minutes to present their work. This would be your chance to attract audience’s interest in your work and make them visit your poster presentation area. These selected teams would be notified upon acceptance, to submit a 5-slide presentation describing your work or idea along with the final poster.

Top Poster Winner

The Top Poster Awards goes to the top poster as voted on basis of our expert panel’s ratings and by de-HPC attendees. Voting would be open to conference attendees from first through till last day, 1600 Hrs. The winning teams would be highlighted on de-HPC symposium website.
